Hyatt Place Whitehorse

A space is never just one thing; it changes with the light, the time of day, and the people in it. This is something we love to explore in our work, and it was a central theme for our recent collaboration with the talented team at LOLA architecture for the new Hyatt Place in Whitehorse.

We're often asked to create renderings that capture a single, perfect moment. But what about all the other moments? For this project, we created both day and night scenes for the hotel's inviting lobby and check-in areas. The daytime views showcase the bright, airy atmosphere, highlighting natural materials and contemporary design. The nighttime scenes, however, tell a different story—one of warmth, intimacy, and sophisticated ambiance, with cozy fireplace lounges and soft lighting beckoning guests to relax and unwind.

Providing these different moods is incredibly valuable. It allows our clients to market the full experience of a space, helping potential guests envision themselves there at any hour. It demonstrates how a design can feel both welcoming to a family checking in during the day and chic for a couple enjoying a drink in the evening.
For us, it’s a chance to show not just what a space looks like, but what it feels like.
